# Project Settings Overview

`Project Setting` and `Edit Project` refer to the same BAS screen. When you open `Edit Project` from a project row or from the dashboard card, BAS takes you to the `Project Setting` tab where you manage the selected project's core setup.

## What You Manage Here

- Project name and alias
- Country
- Reporting currency
- Supported currencies
- Supported languages
- Main language
- Template selection
- Project switching from the top project selector

## Video Walkthrough

## Screen Relationship

The video shows the current BAS behavior clearly:

- `Project Setting` is the tab name in the top navigation.
- `Edit Project` is the action label used to open that same tab.
- The top-right project selector can switch the active project before or during editing.
- The same page contains general information, currency settings, language settings, and template cards.

## Interface Overview

Main visible sections on the page:

- Top navigation: `Dashboard`, `Project Setting`, `Projects`, `Payment`
- Top-right controls: project selector, language selector, platform menu icon, profile badge
- Quota banner showing remaining projects in the account
- `Edit Project` page heading
- `General Information` section
- `Currency Settings` section
- `Languages` section
- `Choose a template` section

## Step-by-Step: Open the Edit Screen

1. Open BAS.
2. Go to `Dashboard` or `Projects`.
3. Select the correct project.
4. Click `Edit Project`.
5. Wait for the `Project Setting` tab to load.
6. Confirm the project from the top-right project selector and the page fields.

## Step-by-Step: Switch the Project Before Editing

1. Click the top-right project selector.
2. Review the `My Projects` modal.
3. Filter or search if needed.
4. Select the correct project row.
5. Return to the edit screen and confirm that the page fields changed to the selected project.

## General Information Fields

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| **Project Name** | Main display name of the project |
| **Project Alias** | System alias / slug for the project |
| **Country** | Operating country for the project |

## Currency Settings Fields

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| **Reporting Currency** | Primary reporting currency |
| **Supported Currencies** | Multi-select list of currencies enabled for the project |

## Language Fields

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| **Supported Language** | Multi-select list of enabled languages |
| **Main Languages** | Primary default language for the project |

## Step-by-Step: Update Core Project Details

1. Open `Edit Project` for the intended project.
2. In `General Information`, review `Project Name` and `Project Alias`.
3. Update `Project Name` if needed.
4. Review or change `Country`.
5. In `Currency Settings`, confirm `Reporting Currency`.
6. Add or remove items from `Supported Currencies` as needed.
7. In `Languages`, add or remove items from `Supported Language`.
8. Set the correct `Main Languages` value.
9. Re-check all edited values before leaving the page.

## Step-by-Step: Select a Template

1. Scroll to `Choose a template`.
2. Review the available template cards.
3. Use `View` if you want to preview a template first.
4. Click `Select` on the intended template.
5. Confirm the intended card is marked as selected.

## Template Card Actions

| Button | Use |
|---|---|
| **View** | Preview the template |
| **Select** | Apply the template to the project |

## Field Rules and Cautions

- Treat `Project Alias` as a controlled system value unless the product explicitly allows edits.
- `Country` should match the target operating market.
- `Supported Currencies` should include only currencies the project should actually support.
- `Supported Language` should stay aligned with real content availability.
- Set `Main Languages` only after confirming the supported language list.
- Review the selected template carefully because it affects the frontend presentation.

## Safe Operating Checklist

1. Confirm the project from the top selector before editing anything.
2. Remember that `Edit Project` and `Project Setting` are the same screen.
3. Verify `Project Name`, alias, and country before making changes.
4. Keep currencies and languages aligned with actual business and content requirements.
5. Check the selected template before leaving the page.
