Promotions Overview

The Promotions module has two linked layers:

  1. promotion categories with predefined slug mapping
  2. actual promotion posts created under those categories

The current video shows that category setup comes first. After that, promotion posts are created, edited, published, unpublished, or deleted under the selected category, and the post appears on that configured slug category.

Video Walkthrough

Page Overview

The main Promotions screen includes:

  • status tabs: Published, Unpublished, Trash
  • filters:

- Search - Language - Platform - Category

  • actions:

- Manage categories - Add

  • row actions for unpublish/publish, edit, and delete

Part 1: Manage Promotion Categories

Open Manage categories first when category slug mapping or category visibility needs to be managed.

The category modal shown in the video includes:

  • Status
  • Language
  • + Add Category
  • table columns:

- Name - Slug

  • row actions such as hide/show, delete, and edit

Step 1: Understand the Fixed Slug Categories

Important behavior shown in the video:

  • promotion categories are tied to fixed slug values
  • those slug mappings are defined in Manage categories
  • promotion posts later use these configured categories
  • the selected category decides where the promotion is shown

Examples visible in the video:

  • all
  • tournament
  • tv games
  • welcome
  • sport
  • live casino
  • casino

Step 2: Add or Edit a Promotion Category

Use + Add Category or the row edit action inside Manage categories.

From the recorded flow, category management is used to:

  • add a category entry
  • edit an existing category record
  • review its slug mapping
  • manage its visible/hidden state

Step 3: Publish, Unpublish, Hide, or Delete a Category

Category records are controlled from the category modal before promotion posts are created.

The video shows category-level actions like:

  • show / hide
  • edit
  • delete

Use these actions carefully, because promotion posts depend on the category slug mapping defined here.

Part 2: Create and Manage Promotion Posts

After category setup is ready, you can create the actual promotion post from the main Promotions screen.

Step 4: Add a New Promotion Post

  1. Click Add.
  2. Fill the promotion form.

Fields shown in the video:

  • Platform
  • Status
  • Show For Users
  • Category *
  • Select program period
  • Title *
  • Promotion Text
  • Language
  • Alt text
  • Order
  • Editor *
  • Media *

Field guidance:

  • Category *: choose the configured promotion category from Manage categories
  • Select program period: choose start and end date-time range for the promotion

  • Promotion Text: short summary line
  • Language: language of the promotion record
  • Alt text: image alt text
  • Order: display order
  • Editor *: main promotional content
  • Media *: promotion image/poster

Important:

  • category must be selected from the configured category list
  • the selected category is what makes the promotion appear under that category slug
  • complete both content and image before saving

Step 5: Edit an Existing Promotion Post

Use the row Edit action on the promotions list.

The edit flow in the video shows you can update:

  • platform
  • status
  • show-for-users
  • category
  • date range
  • title
  • promotion text
  • language
  • alt text
  • order
  • editor content
  • media

Step 6: Publish or Unpublish a Promotion Post

Promotion posts move through the main status tabs:

  • Published
  • Unpublished
  • Trash

The video shows:

  • unpublish from the published list
  • success confirmation after status update
  • returning item visibility through status-based actions

Step 7: Delete a Promotion Post

Promotion posts can also be deleted from the row actions.

Use this flow:

  1. move the promotion to the appropriate non-active state
  2. review it under the relevant tab
  3. delete only when the post should no longer be shown
  1. open Manage categories
  2. review or configure the fixed slug categories first
  3. add or edit category records if needed
  4. create the promotion post under the correct category
  5. fill all fields, add media, and save
  6. use publish and unpublish for lifecycle control
  7. delete only after category and post mapping has been verified

Notes

  • category slug mapping is the base layer of this module
  • promotion posts depend on the category configured in Manage categories
  • if the wrong category is selected, the promotion will appear in the wrong slug/category section
  • complete both editor content and media before saving
