Promotions Overview
The Promotions module has two linked layers:
- promotion categories with predefined slug mapping
- actual promotion posts created under those categories
The current video shows that category setup comes first. After that, promotion posts are created, edited, published, unpublished, or deleted under the selected category, and the post appears on that configured slug category.

Part 1: Manage Promotion Categories
Open Manage categories first when category slug mapping or category visibility needs to be managed.
The category modal shown in the video includes:
StatusLanguage+ Add Category- table columns:
- Name - Slug
- row actions such as hide/show, delete, and edit
Step 1: Understand the Fixed Slug Categories
Important behavior shown in the video:
- promotion categories are tied to fixed slug values
- those slug mappings are defined in
Manage categories - promotion posts later use these configured categories
- the selected category decides where the promotion is shown

Step 2: Add or Edit a Promotion Category
Use + Add Category or the row edit action inside Manage categories.
From the recorded flow, category management is used to:
- add a category entry
- edit an existing category record
- review its slug mapping
- manage its visible/hidden state
Step 3: Publish, Unpublish, Hide, or Delete a Category
Category records are controlled from the category modal before promotion posts are created.
The video shows category-level actions like:
- show / hide
- edit
- delete
Use these actions carefully, because promotion posts depend on the category slug mapping defined here.
Part 2: Create and Manage Promotion Posts
After category setup is ready, you can create the actual promotion post from the main Promotions screen.
Step 4: Add a New Promotion Post
- Click
Add. - Fill the promotion form.

Important:
- category must be selected from the configured category list
- the selected category is what makes the promotion appear under that category slug
- complete both content and image before saving
Step 5: Edit an Existing Promotion Post
Use the row Edit action on the promotions list.
The edit flow in the video shows you can update:
- platform
- status
- show-for-users
- category
- date range
- title
- promotion text
- language
- alt text
- order
- editor content
- media
Step 6: Publish or Unpublish a Promotion Post
Promotion posts move through the main status tabs:
PublishedUnpublishedTrash
The video shows:
- unpublish from the published list
- success confirmation after status update
- returning item visibility through status-based actions
Step 7: Delete a Promotion Post
Promotion posts can also be deleted from the row actions.
Use this flow:
- move the promotion to the appropriate non-active state
- review it under the relevant tab
- delete only when the post should no longer be shown
Recommended Operations Flow
- open
Manage categories - review or configure the fixed slug categories first
- add or edit category records if needed
- create the promotion post under the correct category
- fill all fields, add media, and save
- use publish and unpublish for lifecycle control
- delete only after category and post mapping has been verified
Notes
- category slug mapping is the base layer of this module
- promotion posts depend on the category configured in
Manage categories - if the wrong category is selected, the promotion will appear in the wrong slug/category section
- complete both editor content and media before saving
